How will my treatment be organised?
1. Medical review
Your medical file will be handed over to an ELSAN practitioner if it is complete and legible. Your file must include a recent medical report (detailing your history, treatments, symptoms or discomfort – ideally ask your doctor for a medical report), as well as legible complementary examinations (X-rays, biological and histological examinations – beware of simple photographs of your documents as these can often be of insufficient quality).
2. Treatment plan
If your request is accepted, you will be presented with the practitioner’s treatment plan, together with a cost estimate. You will have to add travel costs and all the expenses necessary for your stay, before and after your hospitalisation. Depending on your case, you will need to stay in France and/or a organise a convalescence stay.
3. .Administrative procedures
Once the plan has been validated, a date for your procedure will be scheduled. To block the date, a deposit must be paid (or a guarantee of payment from an approved insurance company received). You will be sent the necessary administrative documents for your visa request.
4. Your hospital stay
You will receive your individual care plan (date and venue of medical appointments).
On your arrival, ELSAN will provide you with comfortable hotel-style accommodation: a single room with a bed for an accompanying person, telephone, TV and in-room meals. We also provide concierge services for organising your stay outside the hospital (to be booked in advance).
